HOW TO HELP YOUR CHILD SUCCEED AT
THE WRITE WAY

Sunset Reading

READING

It takes time for a child to learn to read, and great readers have an advantage as reading and writing are a reciprocal process. The more a child reads, the stronger writer they will become.

Old Alarm Clock

COMMITMENT

Be aware of the student’s obligation to submit weekly essays in a timely manner. Students should check for edits, complete them at home, and return a revised version before the next week’s class.

PROGRESS CHECKS

The easiest way to check your child’s progress is to read through final printed drafts of each essay in their notebook with the most recent essay on top. Keep in mind, my focus will be on content first, followed by grammar and punctuation.
